1. Basics

This site is owned and operated by Perspective Publishing Limited.

Our Privacy Policy sets out the basis of how we use personal data collected from you, or provided to us. For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 the data controller is Perspective Publishing Limited, 3 London Wall Buildings, London Wall, London EC2M 5PD.

2. Information

We may collect and process the following data you supply, whether by physical or electronic means:

• Information provided by you filling in forms, including registration forms or requesting material or information
• Contacting us
• Attending our events (virtual or real)
• Submitting a survey
• Subscribing to a service or magazine
• Transactions and payment to us
• visits to our site including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, and other communication data

3. IP Address

We may collect information about your computer, such as IP address, OS and browser . This is to help improve our services and to report amalgamated information to our advertisers or marketing partners. This is statistical data and does not identify an individual.

4. Cookies

We may collect this information in order to better understand your internet usage, your particular interests and make your usage of our pages easier. Generally all our sites only use Cookies to monitor traffic stats and user visits, however, from time to time we may use Cookies for other uses, and reserve the right to do so. By visiting our websites you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not visit our sites.

5. Storage

We take all reasonable steps to treat data securely and in accordance with this privacy policy. Where a third party is used for payment, it will be in accordance with their policy.

The data that we store is kept within the European Union (EU). To the best of our knowledge all data stored by our contractors is also stored within the EU.

We will disclose your personal information if obliged to by a legal requirement, in order to protect our business from fraud or potentially illegal action, or in event of one of our brands or services being sold to a third party.

6. Rights

You have the right to opt out of our services at any time, and the mechanism for this will be clearly stated on any communication. By opting out you may have several or all services withdrawn. By opting out we may no longer have a record of your decision, and you may reregister at any point (and remove yourself as before).

7. Links

Links to and from third party websites of our partners, advertisers and affiliates are not controlled by us, if you follow a link to these websites, they will have their own privacy policies and we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these.

8. ACCESS TO INFORMATION

The Data Protection Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet administration costs, and will require verification that you are the rightful person to access this data.

9. GDPR

Perspective Publishing Limited run a policy of holding the minimum data we can to achieve the needed objectives. As such all our information will usually be limited to name, job title, company name and contact details. We will never ask for personal identifiers such as date of birth or other private/personal information. We may sometimes ask for information on the business the communication is in relation to.

Where Perspective Publishing believes it is in your legitimate interest to receive newsletters or other information from us then we will make use of this provision in GDPR. Any communication sent to you on a legitimate interest basis will include an opt out, and you will be able to opt out from any further communication from us. Where you are opting in to a service from Perspective Publishing we will look to make it clear which service you are opting in to. Note, we will need to share your details with supplier organisations we rely on to fulfil our services to you – as an example, we must load a mailing file with the Royal Mail to distribute the magazines each edition.

10. Audit Bureau of Circulations

Some of our magazines are members of the ‘Audit Bureau of Circulations’, a body that checks and verifies the volume and quality of member publication circulations.
